Is it possible at all to automate the data extract tool so that it will automatically extract the XML file from my Altiris database on a regular schedule that I determine?

I imagine this could be done if the extract tool had command line switches, I could then use the Windows Task Scheduler to extract the data automatically at say 9am each day.

Is this possible please? If not, might you consider it for a future release?

This feature is already available. Please go to your Licence Dashboard CD. In the folder (\Documentation\) there is the “DataExtract Tools Guide v2.5.pdf” and within (\Tools\DataExtract XML\) there is WinDataExtract.exe and DataExtract.exe.

The DataExtract.exe program is a scriptable version of DataExtract, and the command line parameters and how to use it are document within the guide.
